RAPAD and Sweetwater Economic Development, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), in recognition of mutual interests, opportunities and future endeavours for our communities and developments.
RAPAD welcomes Texan delegation
The Remote Area Planning and Development (RAPAD) Board is hosting a delegation from the United States’ leading renewable energy State - Texas, this week ahead of an Energy and Economic Futures Forum in Barcaldine on Friday 27 September.
RAPAD Chair and Longreach Mayor, Tony Rayner said the delegation of landholders, policy and community representatives will meet with government and industry in Brisbane before visiting landholders in Blackall and Barcaldine and participating in the forum alongside local expertise and experience.
RAPAD mission to focus on delivering energy benefits for region
RAPAD will lead its first international delegation to the United States from 4 to 21 May.
The mission investigations will provide valuable insights and networks for the RAPAD Power Grid and other regional renewable energy projects into the future – arguably we’ll have some of the best knowledge in the nation of energy transition for rural and remote economies right here in the central west.
